		<description>As a reply that goes somewhat off topic of the questions presented... is &#039;The Dark Knight&#039; incorrect at making Gordon out in that fashion? If anything, the GCPD was originally &#039;ends justify means&#039; when Gordon first arrived, and he whipped them out of that under his leadership. And just thinking, it was Gordon who convinced Batman not to kill the Joker, when he very well would have. And even in his own moment, he only shot the Joker in the kneecap (after the Joker had shot and paralyzed Gordon&#039;s daughter). 

I understand (and enjoye watching the struggle over) the &#039;at all costs&#039; mentality that occured in the movie, but I&#039;m not sure it was entirely accurate to portray them that way... 

Then again, it&#039;s a whole new retelling of the Batman saga, so there&#039;s room for changes and new character growths and whatnot.... Just thinking :)</description>
