bc of the magic of automatic reposting & my choice to follow an author on multiple platforms, i’ve seen the phrase “why psychopaths get rewarded in capitalism” several times the last couple days and it’s kinda grating for me, bc it feels like memified anti-capitalism instead of a coherent position

bc the thing about psychopaths is, they get rewarded in any system

bc they’re assholes who will take advantage of the system and harm others for their own gain

that happens in capitalism. it also happens in communism. and religion. and fascism. and democracy. and theocracy. and my guess is, also in anarchy (both socialist and capital-L-Libertarian flavors). hell, any group with two or more people, it’s a possibility.

psychopaths gonna psychopath. it’s a bug in humanity, not any one social structure.
